I was so happy to find out about Tendergrass this year! We live in the middle of nowhere, and the only option we would had would be Mr. Butterball at the local grocery store. This turkey was fantastic as are the people from Tendergrass. I completely support their mission and their passion to producing quality products that have been raised and cared for the way God intended. And it does make a difference. The very next day I had turkey at a relative's house which paled in comparison. I followed Michael Ruhlman's Braise/Roast method which yielded perfectly cooked white and dark meat. Not to mention, I feel so good about making wholesome nutritious stock from all the leftover bones and carcass. I have a 12qt stockpot going right now which is the start of some amazing turkey soup. I can't recommend these guys highly enough and will be purchasing from them again.

We had our first turkey from Tender Grass Farm for Thanksgiving and were delighted! The flavor was wonderful and the bird was very lean. My suggestion for roasting these birds is to rub well with butter and/or olive oil and start the roast breast side down. Halfway through cooking, flip it breast side up. Cook any stuffing separately and, instead, "stuff" aromatics inside the bird for flavor and moisture (smashed garlic, onion wedge(s) stuck with a clove, carrot and celery sticks, bay leaf, fresh ginger, and some fresh or dried poultry herbs like thyme, sage, parsley and marjoram.

We bought a turkey from Tender Grass Farm for Thanksgiving last year, and it was great! You can definitely taste the difference between these turkeys and those that are raised with synthetic chemicals and conventional feed.

I tried this turkey last year for Thanksgiving. I could not believe how good that turkey tasted. There was no fat, the taste was indescribably delicious, we ate every ounce of the turkey. If I could rate something higher than 5 stars, I would. Before I got the turkey, I thought that was a high price to pay. After I tasted it, I don't know that there's a price I wouldn't pay. Whenever I get a proper refrigerator, I will place regular orders of poultry and beef. I consider myself fortunate to have found you.
